So tomorrow im redoing the Pitman arm thru the tie rod ends - the amount of slop i have is unvelievable. my question is is if i torch :weld: all the old into pieces should I be able to cut the tie rod ends off with a Metabo cutter :superhack: ? Everything is in there pretty good and pretty sure is all original to the truck. I work in a fab shop so if its old and not getting used we usually just destroy it like this - any input is appreciated didnt know how much tension those ends would be on if they were torched from the drag link and inner - thanks

went great - everything was rusted beyond belief - cotter keys rusted into the castle nuts like no other. . . just grabbed the Metabo and skinned all the nuts off. Got to the 1.3125" nut on the pitman arm and got to have an excuse for a new rachet set :party36: now my steering is almost perfect after the alignment - going to adjust the gear box yet with the set screw and see if I cant get more of the play out of it
