Remote controlled electric exhaust cutout installed - sounds like a hot rod!

Hey guys, I tried posting this earlier but it got deleted because I violated rule #8. That wasn't my intent, and I'm not entirely sure what part of that rule I violated, or if all of it lol!!!

I just installed a 3" remote control electric exhaust cutout on the RAM and I was so excited with the way it turned out I wanted to share. I read threads on the forum all the time, but rarely post unless I have something worthwhile to add.
I installed a borla pro xs muffler back when I bought the truck new in 2017 and that seemed to be enough for a while. Got this exhaust cutout installed right after the collectors where the 3" straight pipe starts and when it opens it sounds like a beast. It still has the stock cats on it, but man it put a smile on my face. Long term goal would be to have long tube headers, high flow cats, two of these exhaust cutouts, x-pipe, dual borla mufflers and then out the back. But with this cutout it made me feel like a kid again driving a hot rod instead of a big freaking heavy truck! What do you guys think of cutouts? I don't know if it actually gives any performance gains, but it sure keeps me smiling when it's open. And if I get tired of it being too loud, I can click the button and close it right back up.
I tried to share a link to the YouTube video and not sure if that's what caused it to be deleted, or if it's cause I listed the brand of the cutout and maybe they aren't a sponsor here. I left all that out this time, maybe you guys can shed some light on that part. I was just excited by how well it turned out and wanted to share!

Nah, no worries there. Don't have any neighbors and thankfully I have enough common sense left to keep it closed when it needs to be, which is most of the time.

Yeah, good job on knowing when to keep them closed. 99.99% of people don't want to hear your straight pipes.

I was at a big Cars & Coffee recently and one guy had a nice '57 Chevy, 500hp 383 small block, cam, headers, etc.... and he had one of those remote-control cut-out systems on his car. It was kinda neat as he stood in the parking lot and worked the cutout open & closed.

If you want a bulletproof cut-out the old school cable operated ones are still the best cut out made. They've been around since God was a kid,and never fail,lol.

We offer the bolt in kit from QTP. It works great, we usually have them in stock. It bolts in right before the stock muffler. You get stock quiet then with a click of a button you get loud straight pipe sound.

Evidently ya'll ain't as old as me... When I was young we had no cables nor remotes, we welded on the short pipe and had a screw on cap on it. Slide under there to remove or replace caps... Also keep a spare cap, occasionally one would vibrate off while driving 60 mph. and they were very hard to find... My buddy has a "69" big block Chevelle with these remotes, he's constantly playing with that dang thing, he just can't help himself.

LOL, yeah man, I remember those. But we didn't really need them back in the day. Everyone was running glasspacks or Flowmasters, or whatever else was already loud. I used to put a few metal washers between the header outlet and the exhaust pipe flange, that worked nicely on big-block Chevy engines. I had (among others) a silver '69 Chevelle SS, 4-speed Muncie, 4.10 rear with the L78 396 - 375hp, solid lifter cam, 11-1 compression. That thing was a nice ride. Very competitive in all the street races we used to do.

I did one in the 1950's on my first car, cable on the dash, I even matched the knob, for that hi classed look, added a lot of HP to a 6cy chev.
it went into a side pipe.

BTW it is getting a LS motor now.
