Have a really old Bakflip tonneau cover which still works fine, but the black paint is to the point you can start to see white flecks through.
I was thinking of just masking everything, and on a calm day just rattle-canning it back into presentable condition with 3-4 light coats.
Originally it appeared to be a black high gloss, but I'm concerned that will tiger-stripe too much trying to do it myself with a can in glossy.
Would Rust-Oleum enamel flat black with no clear coat be a good option? Satin better? A non-enamel? Or perhaps even one of those "hammered" texture cans? Figured I'd query before ordering a bunch and regretting it, heh!
(and yes, I probably need to take a heat gun to that back rubber to see if I can make it lay flat again)
