Today marks week six waiting on a replacement windshield from Satellite Autoglass. This weeks call was they have no expected date still on backorder from the manufacturer.

Did they mention that they can get the Chinese windshield

My windshield place always has both OEM & Chinese windshields in stock, during this crisis that we seem to be having, that could very well have changed.

My current windshield is pitted, but i am not driving too much at night, so i can wait until OEM comes back in stock.
If it was cracked across the drivers side, i would be in more of a hurry

My son waited months for a glass from them for his 2021 Gladiator

its a new vehicle and as its covered by insurance I will wait for OEM

8 weeks. No update from Safelite. I called my insurance agent. He reached out to another glass installer. Bingo. replaced with OEM 3 days later.

How is that aftermarket windshield working out?

I believe the after market windshield compound, may cause the glass to be harder, therefore it may Pit easier

Funny you ask. It cracked 3 weeks after installation. To be fair, my truck was showered by a hail of pebbles while following a dump truck on the highway. No way to tell if it was the pebbles or a poor quality windshield.

Any problems with it? Considering the aftermarket as well since new factory Ram logo windshields are twice the cost [$765-1150] of aftermarket [$365-$450].
