Looking to get rid of the chrome bumpers on my 1500 big horn would it be easier to just have them painted or powder coated or I like the look of the plastic bumpers just wondering which would be the most easiest/best/beneficial

Depends on the color. If it’s a normal color like black just vinyl wrap them

Both Front and Rear bumpers come off in minutes on the big horns. The chrome front is not attached to the valance piece above it. If your looking for a diy paint project it would be faster to remove them than to tape around them. Vinyl wrap they can stay on the truck but it will need to be re wrapped every couple years. Vinyl has a 5-7 year lifespan but I know from experience if your truck is parked outside you'll want to re wrap every 2-3 years. Once the vinyl drys out it comes off in tiny pieces and flakes. When I first bought my truck I knew I was buying aftermarket bumpers but hastily ordered cheap ebay vinyl just to hide the chrome. When I heated the vinyl to wrap the curve on the back bumper it discolored so my advice is stick with name brand like 3M.
