no? you don't have to use all the parts that come with the kit, its a universal kit. Use the small one.

Alright. That what I was hoping. I just dremmeled a bit off. It'll still fit. Just wanted to get the metal nut as far down as I could.

I have never dremel'd that. Use the small grommet and it will fit just fine.

Could I use the 5m exterior tape to put my heads back together? I'm gonna use silicone after.

I dont know alot about headlights, but id say just silicone it. Dont mess with tape...

butyl is best, silicone over that for some added protection.

lol, I remember saying that I would never open another light again too.

My first set was my OEM lights from my 08. Took me about 6-7 hours to get them open. My 4th Gen took me......about the same. If that were the case now, I wouldn't be doing this. :D

Just curious, how much time do you have in the project?

2 hours to open each.
2-3 weeks for whole project. Got busy with a lot of school work and etc.
