So last summer I installed Road Armor Stealth bumpers on my Ram 2500. Absolutely love them. They are heavy and heavy duty. Until just this month I have had no issues. I took the truck and my bass boat to Florida. First to help one of my daughters with a house she bought and then to do some fishing. Is was cold weather traveling down so no need for A/C. Once I got down there it was a different story.
Hopped in the truck turned on the A/C and got no cold air. Since I was under 3 years and under 36k miles I took it to the nearest dealer. They pumped dye in and found a leak. Apparently I had but the bumper right up against the condenser tube on the side of the condenser. Over 9 months it wore a hole. When I got back home I ordered a condenser off Amazon. Seems to be a perfect match except its not black. And it was 1/4 of cost of the dodge one. I got under the truck and it appears I have the bumper already installed as far out as I can get it. So now I am trying to figure out how to set the condenser back 1/4 to 1/2 inch so I don't have the same problem in the future.
Anyone ever have this issue and if so what did you do?
