just a heads up to all you 2nd genners, was informed today that the company Road Armor, that makes bumper replacements, is soon to discontinue the line for the 94-01 dodge 1500s, so if you want one, get em soon.

Yet another supplier that is not gonna support us anymore. I bet if they lowered their prices they would sell more

right? 1599 fot a plain one. 1799 with a prerunner bar. 200 bucks to weld a bar on?

I asked, will there be any special blow out deals then since you wont be making anymore?

"no, because we keep very few in stock"

was the response.

are we 2nd gens so hard to make products for? sheesh

I believe so, I was just checking my options.

road rhinos site appears to be under construction so i was looking around.

If I can talk a buddy into it I am most likely gonna get their "weld it yourself" kit

Well...lets be real...The last 2nd gen truck is 10 years old...Natural attirtion, Clunkers for cash and low demand for product + lack of sales x poor economy = a smart business decision.

Road armor probably sells most of the 4th gen bumpers they make. Guys with big wallets or small credit car balances that have to one up thier buds with thier new toy.

The 2nd gens have pretty much passsd down the either the "make your own out of scrap because I have to" crowd..or "rebuilt with Craigs list and Chinese ebay parts".

Just the way of world.

yeah think that might be the best route for me, I mean, one of our closest family friends owns a welding and fab shop thats huge, they make huge mud tanks and all kinds of stuff.

Maybe I could talk him into it and see if he would teach me too...lol

I think the best lookin bumper for the 2nd Gen is the BuckStop anywho. It doesn't have that 'full diaper' look of most of the other options for 2Gs.

I want my pop's to pony up and get one for his truck already.
