Hi all, well my sub enclosure shipped and I am getting ready for install. My question is what's the best way to run all new speaker wires into all 4 doors? I bought 14ga knukoncepts wire and will be running 2 into each of front doors, set up to dash, and set to rear doors. Do you have to take the plastic shell that supports the windows to gain access to the wire grommet? Should I just run new grommets? Does anyone have pics, ideas, or guidance as I have over a 100' of wire to run. I would like to go through the OEM boot if possible. What have you done?

Beer lots and lots of beer lol. Seriously though the grommet is a pain, so you will have to be patient. the wire runs on the outside of the plastic door panel IIRC. Best think I can tell you is strip the interior, seats aren't hard to move and it will be that much easier on your install.

As far as pulling the wires in the doors: I used a donor wire (from my previous speakers), taped both sets of wires to the donor, put some grease on them and pulled them through. Took about 3 minutes with the KnuKonceptz Kord Speaker Wire Ultra Flex Blue OFC 14 Gauge. :)

the grommets is not bad at all, it shouldn't take long at all. There is room on the outside of the plug in between the actual male/female connections and the white outer piece. I ran a set of 12 gauge and 18 gauge in there with minor trimming if any at all. behind the ebrake is where the driver side plug is, you have to go behind the water barrier in the kick. The rears are super easy. Pull all the doors the b pillars, the kick panels and the runners then start running all the wires. It will not be bad at all.

When doing your door boots, a long wire tie, say 18-24" will make the job much easier and because it is plastic you will not damage the boot.

Also, when you pull the boot off of the plastic shroud to run wires, be sure to put the boot back on the plastic shroud BEFORE snapping the boot into the body. You'll drive yourself nuts when getting to this portion until it hits you that the way I explained is the easiest way.

Lastly, like Etroze said, beer! Umm, I mean patience.

pull the boot off to gain access to the plugs, unplug them, then you have two sides...Which makes it much easier to run anything through. also unbolt the rubber keeper for the wiring that goes into the door and run it through there. that way everything is ran as it was when it was assembled from the factory, eliminating the possibility of leaks and or people seeing that anything was ever ran through. There are 4 keepers that hold the white plastic surround to the door jam, once those are depressed the white piece comes out. no issues at all

I just ran skyhigh 14ga thru all my doors last week the hardest was the drivers side as I was told manly because there's no room if you have big hand. Remember everything goes to that door. Wasn't as bad as I thought just time consuming because I'm ocd with my wiring

Wiring completed took about 4 hours to pull all the carrier plates and then run 100ft of wiring. Pulled through all factory locations and cam out mint. I also added cld and 1/2" ccf dynaliner in all 4 doors. I will then use 1/8" dynaliner t cover the backside of the door panels. My net audio box and wiring harness came in today so perfect timing. Will install this week.
