Hi all, just putting this out hear to see if I'm the only one that this is happening to..

But as you can see in the photos I have uploaded, there are spot all over my truck. And I don't think that I am wrong in saying that they are rust. I'm contacting the dealer on Monday but this is ******, it is on every panel from the front tires back, including the door handle on the passenger side.(ignored the actual dirt though)

I hope that I just happened to get the truck that was painted on Friday afternoon and no one else has this problem. But I guess I'll have to wait to hear what the dealer says about it... won't be a cheap deal but warranty should cover.

Please if anyone has seen or heard of this though let me know. Thanks

The door handles are plastic. Wonder if there was metal flake in the paint from the paint gun or some other source.

I had this problem on my 14 tundra. The dealership told me that it was rail dust from when it was being delivered. It was not covered under warranty. It only shows up on light color trucks. I took it to a auto detailer and they buffed the entire truck.

Yep, that’s environmental, not panel rust. I’ve also heard that a clay bar does a great job cleaning it up, but I’ve not had a reason to try it, personally.

Clay bar it then use something like Meguiar's 3-step system. Will take time and effort but the rewards are worth it.

IMO you should do a very good detailed wax job on the paint a couple times a year. The clay bar is vital to that process.

There are several different products on the market that will remove rail dust quite easily and effectively or a hell of a lot easier than clay barring does. Here's one example but there are other brands out there.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UM6DL...bde0-8f8c7b94cf99&ie=UTF8&qid=1527377130&sr=1

While I’ll agree on being easier, running a dealership I also know it will come back if it’s bedded deep in the paint. Clay bar will dig it out to keep it from coming back over and over. Iron out will remove what’s visible and sometime what’s not, but a good dealer should have clayed the truck upon delivery at the dealership.

EASY, EASY FIX!!!
Buy yourself some IRON-X. I have some spots on my 2016 Bright White truck as well and that stuff is amazing. Works killer. Just follow directions. Pretty easy to use.
I don't think those are rust spots. Those are iron deposits.

Just spotted this on my 17 Crew Cab, will try clay bar. But you are not alone.
