Hey guys I'm new here, I am looking to buy either a 2nd or 3rd gen Ram. I see a lot of 3rd gens that have rust on the fenders. Is this common? Is the steel/metal just not very good or what is going on? Also what are some good ways to prevent this. Thanks

It's very common on the 3rd gens. They don't have an inner fender well and dirt and salt get trapped up in the lip. Under body spray would probably be the best way. My 06 rusted out so I just put fender flares over it still planning to spray it.
