Thinking of getting an intake for my 2015 1500 hemi. Can't decide on which intake to go with. S&B or Vararam. I've been reading some posts but want to get some input. Any thoughts?

I cannot comment from experience, but from everything that I have read, it's Vararam hands down. I would have bought one for my 6.4 if they offered it!

I think its a matter of what you prefer. Everything I have read on other people's thoughts on it was mixed some like it, and some didn't. I think its a personal preference thing. Read up on it and make the choice that you think that will work for you.

That's what i have been leaning toward just recently I saw some negative comments on it though although it hasn't steered me too far away.

Yeah I am pretty in the middle of which way to go.
I'm hoping to find some pros and cons of people who have them

Depends on what you are expecting. If you want a intake that has proven to make horse power go with the vararam. I have one and can tell you the faster you go the harder the hemi pulls.

I also have the Vararam Air Grabber on my 2016 ccsb 4x4. I live in buffalo ny (snow country). I have had ZERO ISSUES with snow or any water whatsoever up in the intake. I drive in blizzards too lol. Ive had open element cai's before....K&N 77 series. The vararam beats it, hands down. Just my personal opinion. Hope this helps you in making your decision bud.

I have an S&B in my 2500...seat dyno/imagination maybe picked up a bit... but for sure it sounded better and louder when I accelerate. My decision was a personal one because I didn't like the way there veraram looked, didn't like the extra plumbing down to my valance, and had read (not first had experience) that the quality and fitment were questionable.

Maybe its just me, but i felt that the build quality was excellent on the vararam. Granted, my truck is a 2016...but once installed and the hood closed...its very solid. I had my gopro under there for about 4 miles. It doesnt move at all. I just wish i could get the video from it onto my phone so i could post it for all to see. If you have a gopro, try it. I put it on the passenger side where all the old stock airbox plumbing was. I didnt drive a ton, since i didnt wanna lose the gopro lol...but it shows that nothing moves :)

I chose the s&b for my truck. Looks good. I don't like the look of the others.

:) It's the VARARAM, hands down--

The main fitment is UP TO YOU--IT'S YOUR TRUCK and the quality is fine-

I've had K&N and there's no comparison to the VARARAM--

VARARAM has been used on CORVETTES for over a decade/w dyno proven results--and

Another advantage, is the reminiscence to HOTROD days/w the aircleaner--right on top the carburetor-

-------------------EFFECIENCY---------------------------

Whatever

I went with the Volant, true cold air and scoop

Biggest reason though was the 100,000 mile filter ........

There is a thread on the "other" site where a guy and his buddy ran the Vararam and the S&B and then switched, recording the data for each intake on each truck.
As far as performance goes, the end results were a negligible difference between the two intakes. IMO, it now comes down to aesthetics since the important part, for me at least, has been worked out to my satisfaction.

That's a neat idea, I may try that.

Vararam for the win, S&B are just as good in quality maybe a little better, but don't have that old school MOPAR look cool factor. Vararam also has dyno proven results, don't think the S&B does.

That's because there is such a negligible difference, it's not worth even arguing about. It's all about what ""said" person wants. A friend of mine has had both on his 2012 Ram and has ran both at the track. No difference in performance that is measurable. Ran the truck with extremely similar DA and found the Vararam was .02 faster. That's not enough of a difference to spit on. I don't care what Dyno this special intake was proven on. Track times don't lie.

I run a S&B because I like the look of it better and the quality is top notch. The Vararam looks good too, just that I keep my muscle car intakes on my muscle car vehicles lol.

What about potential issues? Snow, rain, Driving on the beach occasionally (twice a year maybe) I know S&B offers a filter wrap, I am assuming for small particulate matter but not sure, does Vararam offer such things?
I love the look of the Vararam and am leaning 90% there, curious about potential issues and issues people have seen.

Rain no problem, I don't know about snow, we don't get it in GA.
