Hey guys,

Bought a 2022 Ram 1500 V6 a few months ago. Test drove a hemi and the driving wasn't that much different and I'm not towing much so went with the V6. Been great so far, super fun truck. Got some new tires n rims and looking to slowly start making a few upgrades.

Has anyone done a muffler delete on the V6? Wondering how it sounds, if I should go with a full catback vs delete.

Not looking for insane noise, just want it to sound a bit better!

Lemme know your thoughts.

V6 will always sound bad, just louder. Guy around town had either a straight pipe or just no exhaust v6 charger and it was the worst sounding vehicle I've ever heard.

Even the new hurricanes in the TRX that are designed to sound mean from factory, I don't like them much either.

A v6 sounds great when you’re rowing your own over 7000rpm through the hills, but this is no sports car.

Appreciate the silence that these trucks offer.

You can get a better muffler if you want better sound but I wouldn't just remove the existing muffler it will sound awful as mentioned above.

As a side note I am not sure what Hemi you drove and found there was not much difference between it and a 3.6 Pentastar but it must have been in rough shape. :laughing1:

I put the hemi dual exhaust on it. Bolted right up. Sounds much better.

Others have done the delete, but I’d keep the resonators. Check YouTube.
