I noticed the other day after having my 2020 Laramie with what I believe to be uconnect 4 (can't find the info anywhere- there is no "about" or "version" section on any menus anywhere) detailed that the touch screen beeps are barely audible. Now I don't care if they're on or off, I know where that setting is, but what I can't figure out is why the sound is so low they may as well be off. The radio volume works fine, it's just when I select something on the screen the beep is barely audible. I've tried a soft reset and that did nothing.
Ideas?

And where did the vin based uconnect software feature on their website go? All I find is some thing that tells me to connect to Wi-Fi. The truck doesn't have Wi-Fi.

I have the opposite problem. I wish I could COMPLETELY silence the radio button pushes. I'm one of the lucky people with a 2018 1500 that has a beautiful de-laminating screen, which produces a crapload of phantom pushes. The noise drive me crazy if I don't have some other noise to cover it up with.

Did you play with the setting at all? That beeping was the first thing I shut off when I brought the truck home from the dealer

Same for my cell phone and cordless phones at home. The unnecessary noise helps to deplete small batteries, and I know when I tap the buttons.

I don't need the extra sound pollution.

Trust me guys, I get it. I'm usually a noise eliminator myself and normally I'd have these beeps shut off as well. But, since I had them on and now notice that they are very low, I'm more worried in the immediate sense with figuring out how / why than I am shutting them off. That I can do, but they're is the control for how loud they are?

go in the settings and check to see if there is a volume control for the beep. Is it possible you or someone else inadvertently changed something in the settings?

Isn't this issue you're experiencing with a Uconnect radio?

Mine has a couple of irregularities, and as far as I know, this isn't unusual.
Almost daily, it switches my favourite gas station to another station about 45 minutes away and in another country.
Sometimes it corrects itself; other times it requires 1 to 3 reprogramming sessions.

Intermittently, the key-off power options reset from 10 minutes to zero minutes.
This change usually happens 1-4 times in a row after each ignition cycle, and then not again for weeks or months.

I believe the Uconnect is a buggy POS device that often suffers from bizarre issues.

Good luck finding any solution besides an aftermarket replacement.
Please update this thread if you find a fix.

I don't remember if the uconnect 4 is like uconnect 5 for this, but they are both android based and the function has existed in android for years.

When you change the volume, does a bar show up showing the volume change? If yes, then it should have a little "down arrow" or three dots on the end of the bar. Select that and you'll see a bunch of volume settings. One or more of those will be turned way down.
