I play music from a SD card and sometimes the track list duplicates each song three times. I have to press next 3 times to get to the next track. It only happens sometimes but Its a bit annoying. I wonder if anybody has a solution for this.

My '14 3500 did it a LOT. It would never read the correct number of songs. My SD card had 1,391 songs on it. My truck would see anywhere from 250 to 3500 songs. No rhyme or reason, it was always different. It also would skip a lot. By that I mean, it sounds like you were holding down the fast forward button on a casette deck. Occasionally it would lock up. The radio was replaced twice. The media hub was replaced, along with every cable and connector in the truck. The tech joked that he could take my dash apart blind folded. Nothing worked. The dealership would put my SD card in a truck on the lot and it would work fine, they would then swap my radio with the good one and it would mess up once installed in my truck. They talked with some powerful folks at Ram, to include the actual guy who designed the 8.4. They bent over backwards to help me but after 7 tries, I think they finally just gave up. They offered to buy it back and give me a new truck. I now drive a '15, and this radio works as designed. Very pleased with the resolution!

They offered, who was I to say no? The truck I picked as a replacement had an MSRP that was $1300 more so all I had to pay was the difference.

So no fix for this issue? My truck duplicates each song, but only twice. There should be something other than parts swapping that will fix this.
