looking for seat covers for my '12. reg cab. 40/20/40 seats. Looking at the Carhartt type material or the "Saddleman" Indian blanket style. Not looking to replace originals but rather cover them.
While the original interior is ugly, (door panels and half of dash about the color of barf, I think they call it "graystone") . but as a mechanic, Itll all be black before long. I want to protect them with something I can toss in the washer. Light colors and me do not get along very well. I found an old "for sale" ad on another site I frequent, for (what looks like) Carhartt material dash covers, the guy has (had) 1 each. black or tan. I have an inquiry into him about those, the answer I get from him may determine what color seat covers to look for. SUGGESTIONS?

Check your local craigslist or Facebook marketplace. You can get good used covers on there frequently. I bought a $600 set for $180 myself from a 2 year leased truck...

Those look better than the originals in place now!
Personally though I have always been a Dodge guy this interior is UGLY! Which is partially why I want seat covers and maybe a dash cover

Could never find any seat covers that fit right or that I liked, so I broke out the wife's sewing machine and made my own. Used brown paper to make a pattern, used same pattern for both seats just mark one side for right and turn over for left. Used velcro for side airbags.

Well I have some coming. I can't swing the money right now for the Carhartt ones I want, but for now I found some that'll work /I was looking at Cover craft, who sells the Carhartt ones I want, and found their outlet store.
They had a set of cover craft green camo ones (factory 2nds) for $40. The same ones in brown camo, are $117. And the brown tweed ones the same brand/style are $148 at the outlet.
Not wanting to sound cheap but being as how I really want the Carhartt ones in the 1st place I don't want to spend crazy money on something "for now". But definitely need "something".
I saw these same ones as I have coming elsewhere online for as much as $188.

Not a "camo nut" but they'll work and are made for these seats. And they look better than black and "puke" (dodge calls it "gray stone") that the rest of the interior is colored. When it warms up I'm gonna have to pull the door panels and mask the dash, and spray them with some vinyl dye to something better. Story about that later.

Al I want to do at this point is to keep the inside of this truck from looking how the interior on my Dakota's has turned into from my work. I'm trying to clean up my 99 Dakota right now before I put it up for sale /and didn't realize it had gotten that bad. (Dirty)
Just want something that I can peel off and toss in the wash. Something "sacrificial" if you will.

I paid (OK am paying) more for this truck than all of my past trucks combined/ so I can't tear it up.
The fact I'm back in a regular cab may help because I simply won't have room for some of the crap that I had in my club cab Dakota's in the first place.
I got stock number SS3405TT CG that's their number for them. I'm computer stupid when it comes to posting links.
