Sport package, hemi, 3.92 w/anti slip diff, level 2 equip group, led lights, dampened tailgate, step rails, tow hooks, 8.4 w/nav, cd player, silver, tow package, blind spot detection, etc. Only thing I wish it had is Alpine upgraded speakers. Sticker price with options $53885. They quoted me $41865.

I have a 17 Laramie that was paid off soon after I bought it new in 17. The blue book on it shows good condition trade in value is around $32k and I'm almost certain they'll get real close to that. Truck has less than 20k miles.

My only dislikes with the new truck are the tow mirrors and non Alpine stereo. I tow a 20' aluminum boat so don't need the big tow mirrors. I really like my heated, electric fold mirrors and like the Alpine system I currently have.

I would expect their offer for the trade to be on the low end. They're probably going to point to the msrp vs actual sale price and tell you that's why they can't offer you book trade value. I could be wrong, but you rarely get a dealer to give on both the new and the old vehicles.

On the 17 i traded a 14 ram sport. Told them i'd take no less than $28.5k. They gave me $30k and installed a 4" mopar lift kit free after i told them i'd pay cost if they'd eat the labor. And we agreed on the price of the 17 before these concessions were made. This was 2 days before the end of May 2017. They told me they needed to sell 2 vehicles off the lot by the end of the month to get a bonus from Chrysler.

If they won't offer what i think it's worth i'll walk. I owe nothing on it and it only has 20k miles. The end of the month is the absolute best time to bargain. 2 weeks ago when i initially inquired about this truck they offered it at $46k and i walked. They texted me today with this new offer.

Have them find you one with the fold mirrors or wait until they get one on the lot. Aftermarket power fold mirrors wont have the 360 surround. I’d much rather have the power fold over the tow mirrors any day. Just my humble opinion. Otherwise it’s a good deal but you’ll find you’ll regret it down the road not getting what you want.

My 16 sport SBCC with 392's, LSD, leather, 8.4, Alpine w/ steering wheels controls, center console, sunroof, heated / vented seats, power fold mirrors, projectors, adjustable pedals, wheel to wheel steps, tow package, and blackout package was $42k before tax, tag and title. It stickered at $56k. Just food for thought.

After taking a night to think it through I decided to drop the deal. I think in the long run I would regret not getting exactly what I wanted. I'm going to take my time and find the perfect deal. Even if it means I have to order a truck in the future.

My current truck is still practically
new and has everything I wanted except the 6'4" bed and runs perfectly.

I think you made the right decision. No regerts.
On another note, I always get a quote from Carmax to use when negotiating my trade.
Carmax offered me $32k for my 2011 Chevy 3500HD, duramax, LTZ, 2wd, shortbed with 36k miles. This was just this last October. I was very happy with that valuation.

I thought that price was extremely reasonable. When I bought MY 19, MSRP was 49K and I got for 41K.. BUT Yer Truck and Yer Money so U get what makes U happy...

Ended up trading mine for a 19 Silverado RST 4wd. It was a tough decision but I felt it was time to try something else after owning 4 Dodge/Ram trucks since 2001. Never had any problems with them but getting multiple recall notices on my last 2 (14 Sport and 17 Laramie) was kind of a bummer.

I may be back to Ram in a few years as I'm not brand loyal.
