I’m a retired Navy Seniorchief 69 years old been a mechanic all my life I have a 75 Dodge D-100 318 automatic factory air conditioning that still works , I bought it at an auction in 2006 in Phoenix AZ for $600 with 60,000 orig miles on it , it now has 130,000 on it and I have driven it through 13 western states and it has never left me stranded or failed to start , 5 years ago I took the engine out cleaned the block out new cam bearings Crane 280 cam , ported the heads , Summit headers , Edelbrock intake , Carter thermoquad , mini starter group 27 Napa battery , rewired the alternator wiring for a Motorcraft voltage regulator , the cab and bed are dinged/dented and rusted/cancered but it’s 45 years old and still doing it’s job as a daily driver , I also own a 1950 Dodge flat fender Power Wagon that has 28,000 orig miles that is in the process of being restored
