There's a bunch of us Canucks wondering why ourselves, lolWhy is shipping to Canada so expensive?
Clue me in then,as i buy a fair bit of stuff out of the States, and shipping is still exhorbitant on alot of thingsIt's not usually that bad. I'd say that's a seller that hopes you hit the buy now button before you notice.
It costs me around 300 bucks in fuel to go south of the border aarrgghh, lolWhen I see something like that I find another source.some businesses just don't like shipping to Canada. Luckily I'm close to the border so if I'm hard up for something that doesn't ship here, but free in the US I pay the couple bucks and pick it up at one of the mailbox places just across the line.
That's a fair drive, indeed! It costs me around 300 bucks in fuel to go south of the border aarrgghh, lol
Shipping over to central Alberta would still get me though, lolThat's a fair drive, indeed!
I'm less than an hours drive from Niagara Falls... if you ever need something picked up, happy to help!
I'm still a member on the LXForums, and the community there is equally incredible as it is here.Actually what you guys are saying makes sense. We should work together to cut the expense if everyone does not mind helping out..without any cost to the participants. Canuks would cover their brothers expenses and pay the canadian and any expense incurred..but i bet it would be less than going direct to the US..especially from Western Canada. Worth looking into..
I gave up on that site.Everytime i try to post i have to re-join ,and i got tired of jumping through hoops to join it,as it's one of the hardest sites i've ever found to join and stay a member of.I'm still a member on the LXForums, and the community there is equally incredible as it is here.
Members were doing pick up runs for individuals and groups all the time, and then working out logistics and meets to hand out the items picked up, and just get together too.
