shooting for 13's

I base lined my truck at 14.46@94 best. Installed a Vararam intake, 180 * stat, deleted the clutch fan and replaced the muffler with a carven progressive. lastly bought a diablosport i3 with a custom engine and trans tune from Hemifever. The weather was warm enough to run and Atco dragway opened for a surprise test and tune. Made the 2 hr trip. First run of the day I ran 13.77@99! I was pumped to accomplish that with those mods.

I might eventually go long tubes. not sure about the 100 octane tune I don't even have that on my car lol. I was looking at some M&H drag radials on the tradesman 17's

Hemifever will send you 100 octane race tune, just mix the recommended amount of boostane with 5 gallons of premium next track outing. It’s fairly easy to drop the spare tire, tailgate, and rear seats to get a couple tenths off.

I ran in 4wd. i might do the tailgate and spare next time. I wanted to do the 13 second run at full weight. I might send for the 100 octane tune. I already have boostane waiting. What kind of improvement would just the tune do? I'm not looking to set any records i just wanted to up the fun factor

With 100 octane I’d send track data logs back so he can dial in the air fuel and be more aggressive with the timing to maximize power. Hard to speculate gains without seeing how close your baseline tune is.

That’s the benefit of remote tuning with modern PCMs, you don’t even need to spin a dyno to 150 mph in 6th gear!

If you are there's a few guys running quick 4X4 quad and crew cabs on High Performance Rams.Those are good numbers for a 5900 lb brick *********,lol.Just razzing ya on the brick *********,lol.Headers / 100 octane tune and an hour or 2 of weight reduction will drop your numbers a fair bit as Tim's stated above. Mickey Thompson makes a relatively cheap 17X9 rim for our trucks that only weighs 24 lbs,and will easily fit a 305 drag radial,some guys are running a 315 on them,but that's as big as you'd want to hang onto a 9" wide rim.They come in black or shiny,which ever your perferance is.Scroll down till you see the 17's.

I was at Atco that day too. Didn't run my Ram as I till have winter snow tires on. Last time it launched good them spun a few feet out really kind of messing up the threads on snow tire. Will run again with 17 inch alloys with sra tires in a few weeks. Track is also about 2 hours for me too as I'm coming from South Plainfield NJ. Have been racing at Englishtown since 1971, but they closed a few years back. I have a Nova SS that I raced and drove to e-town as it was 25 miles away. Too far to drive it to Atco as it has a lot of motor and gears, also a 4 speed and don't want to break 80 miles from home. Your truck runs very good. I have a 2011 2 wheel drive short bed with 392 gears and the 5 speed which is nowhere as good as the new 8 speeds. It has a K&N drop in filter, a Flowmaster hd50 in single exhaust and a Superchips Flashpak tuner at the 87 octane tune. I tried 93 tune but it had a slight ping at part throttle. Went back to 87 tune with 93 octane and it works good. Also tow a boat and camper so 87 tune is what they say to run with towing. Have made 5 run last summer all 14.01-14.06 all at about 99.5 mph with a 2.05 sixty foot. Have to leave with traction control on and gradually stepping into it or a whole lot of tire spin. Trying for a high 13 second pass but ran last year in hot and humid weather. Went again this Sunday to Atco to watch and a guy with a 2017 short bed 2 wheel drive went 12.20s with intake, long tubes and exhaust and custom tune with 17 inch drag radials. density altitude at 9am was negative 1500 which will make you go a few tenths faster than say a 2,000. If you live in Easton, Island Dragway would be a shorter trip for you. It i in Great Meadows off rt 46 and on test and tune days you can get a lot of runs in. I have run my Nova there and always seemed to run about 2 tenths faster than Englishtown, might be the cooler temps and air density up there. My base line was 14.60 before mods. My trans shifts 1,2 then 4th a it has that prime second gear. The 6 speed uses all gears and is a little faster. I have to shift 2-3 to 4th manually and it shifts at 6,000 and drops to 5,500 2nd to 3rd, shift too fast and it goes into 4th shift too slow hits rev limiter. Good luck at the track, I will probably see you there one of these days.

I have been running at Island for 30 years just couldnt pass up the good air that day. I ran my car at Island last week and got 13 runs in taking breaks to cool the car down. I'm a bracket racer at heart but it's fun to see how well these rams run. I had one run that was a 1.99 60 foot usually 2.0's. Island is having a mopar trophy race on June 14th. I will be there with my Ram or my chrysler 300. see you around

I think the current "record" for an NA QC 4x4 is 11.87, but I think he is a little lighter than you are in your CC. He set that record last Saturday in Louisianna.

Yeah I follow him on instagram. He has ALOT done to that truck. Suspension, 15 inch rear wheel brake conversion. Light light light everything. I swear he weighs in at reg RCSB weight or damn close. ported heads its a hell of a truck

Yeah, we had a hell of a weekend!!! Matt set a record also with a 9.91. Rick's truck is a real "surprise" to a lot of people being a QC. Your right he sure has the best parts. He drives it every day to work and it has I think over 90k miles on it--

His strip weight is roughly 300lbs less then my RCSB 4X4's strip weight,but i'm lazy all I pull off at the track,is tailgate / tonnue / spare tire / pass seat and front swaybar,and mine still crosses the scales at 5050 lbs with a 1/4 tank of fuel

Mines right around 5400lbs full of fuel in street mode,lol. Mine's a bit heavy though,as I run a stand alone fuel cell in the bed /bed rug and a relocated battery to the back pass side corner of the box.Relocating the battery added well over a 100 lbs though,as I run a 75lb group 34 battery in the battery box,and it takes roughly 60ft of #1 Welding cable to relocate the battery and run a master disconnect switch in the rear bumper to be NHRA legal.I have a buddy with the same basic truck as Kyle Tingle's,a 2wh drive Tradesman with no options,and he can get his truck down to 4400lbs pretty easily,aarrgghh,i should never have bought a loaded Sport 4X4,lol.

Damn my chrysler 300 weighs 4500 and I run 12.50's @ 112. I sold my old 68 Dart because I got tired of trailering a 10 second car but these new HEMIS make serious power!

My wifes new 1320 Challenger in full street mode with Hellcat replica rim's / 275/40/20 Falkens ,and right full of fuel is 4312 lb's,while her old 5.7 Shaker Hood Challenger was over 4400lbs.I haven't weighed it with the lightweight rims and Nexen drag radials it came with,but i'm expecting it to be right around 4200 lbs or a little less,with them and about a 1/4 tank of fuel.
