i currently have a full msd set up with the oem spider wire criss cross, would it be worth my effort to go talor shortie I don’t really care how it looks simply on a performance gain

Performance gain no. No real performance gain with your current setup either lol. The only real benefit to shorties or doing the coil conversion is tidyness.

I'm going to switch to Taylor Shorties myself, keep in mind they don't work very well in really low temps in the winter. You might not get your truck to start if you live where it drops below 30 degrees during the winter is what I've found.

See, I've heard that and between CT, NY & MD winters (where it is routinely below 30°F) I've never had issues getting her started. Waiting for that ***** to warm up, on the other hand lol....

I spent almost 8yrs in FL between two postings (Jax and Destin). I've seen it hit 40's in Jax (with snow) & Orlando and my first winter in Destin two people died from exposure because it hit 17° wind chill with the wind coming across Choctaw Bay. Now if you're in South FL....that's a horse of a different color lol.

My two cents on the 03-05 coils using high tension waste spark wires. Why brother with them as the high tension wires are the known weak link and haven't been used for over 13 years by factory..
