As the title says, I’m in the market for new headlights. I currently have the quad blacks which look cool but I’m sick of looking at. I’m open to all types, chrome, black, rainbow, just looking for some ideas. Also need to know which ones to avoid. Thanks everyone!!

Wow! You certainly have gone through many and they’re all good! Have you settled on a set or are you building and testing now?
The Alpharex seems similar to ModifyStreet. Are they the same company?

Haha yes I’ve been through a lot. I also build lights for people, so I’ve built around 150 sets and still counting. I just didn’t post any of them because I am not a vendor on here.

I was running my AlphaRex quad D2S retrofit for about 9 months and just recently about 3 weeks ago I swapped them out for my new set, the AlphaRex G2 Luxx series which is the all black housings with the smoked clear corners. I will be using these for the foreseeable future as the light output is just short of my quad D2S build, but the ease of install and wiring is factory wiring and no extra stuff to fail where my D2S build had 4 hid kits, 8 led drivers for all the RGB LED’s and the Bluetooth controller plus tons of wiring and resistors and stuff so it was just so much easier and cleaner to run the Luxx set and the difference in light output is barely noticeable so it is worth the slight decrease in lighting for the increase in reliability.

Yes, AlphaRex & ModifyStreet are the same company, with AlphaRex being the “main” company and ModifyStreet being a “sister” company or basically a reseller. They seem to be selling their lights on 3rd party marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, etc.) under the ModifyStreet brand name, but then they sell them under the AlphaRex name on their company’s website www.AlphaRexUSA.com and they use the AlphaRex name on all their social media pages. The lights are always shipped in AlphaRex branded boxes regardless of who you buy them from or what site.
