Impressed with how good 4th gen trucks still look

I've always loved the Sweptlines and the Town Wagons. I think the 94s got some styling tips from the 57 town power wagons.

Sweptline has its own forum as do the 70s Pickups and Ramchargers. Not surprised there aren't forums on them here.

Is it Dodge that came up with the 1st Gen, 2nd Gen thing?

I'm 52 and started with mopar cars Coronet, Satellite, then Fury, Omni, GTX for a bit. Rolled a 77 ramcharger when i was 19, still have an Early A Dart.

Dad always had a powerwagon around in the 70s and 80s. I dabbled in chebbys and ferds for a bit but always come back for MoPowR.

I still don't get this whole "gen" thing.... If you consider that dodge has built trucks since 1922, there have been way more than 5 "gens" or redesigns over the past 100 years.... Even if you only go back to the 60s you have 63-71, 72-80, 81-93, 94-01, 02-08, 09-present, 19-present (concurrent with 09&up design) that's 7 "gens"
Then you have the " power giant" and the pilothouse before that even... That's 9 gens....
They "generation" thing only refers to them being Rams. Dodge didn't start the Ram name on your everyday pickup until the early 80s IIRC. You are correct, there's alot more generations of Dodge truck

Our '18 4th Gen I bought used in 2020. We absolutely love this truck. Rides like a dream and it looks amazing, IMHO. Researching rims and tires now.
I sold the F-250 below shortly before I found our Ram, and that rig got tons of compliments too. Maybe more than our Ram. Really liked that truck too, wish I had kept it but the ride was jarring, to say the least.

I've only had my '14 since '18 but I love the truck. It took me a while to find one for sale that was the Blue Streak blue.

I seriously loved the way my 2017 1500 looked, it really made shopping for a 2500 extremely hard. I went back and forth between a 2018 and 2019 2500, ultimately settling on a 2018. I like the styling of the 4th gen much better than the 5th gen.

I had two different generations of Dodge Dakotas as they were and are a more capable mid-sized pickup than any of there competitors offered.
In August of 2016 I finally purchased my first new full size Ram pickup ever due to the experience, dependability and looks of the Didge Dakotas that I previously owned.
My 2016 Ram Express 4x4 crew cab in Delmonico Red Pearl Clearcoat Metallic at almost seven years old still looks like what a pickup should look like to me. I still get lots of compliments about the color and looks of my Ram and it still looks as good as the day I brought it home
