Navigation? Emergency contact if you stuck? Dunno how important those are to you.
Not a bad idea tho if one doesn’t need the radio.
I have an I-phone for navigation or emergency’s

Where is this card? I wouldn’t remove the antennae just disconnect it

I don't know where the card is located in your truck. You would have to research that first.
For your year or truck, I doubt very much that anyone is listening, because both 2G & 3G are legacy systems and were decommissioned years ago (in the USA).

In a Uconnect 8.4C (in my '21 Warlock), the Sierra Wireless card is mounted inside the radio. I would start with disconnecting the antenna from the radio, but depending on where you live, disconnecting the antenna may not be sufficient.

I've read several reports of the Uconnect successfully downloading updates with the antenna disconnected, but I have no evidence to support that this happened.

It doesn't look like any big deal to remove the card if you have experience using common tools. I wouldn't recommend this task to anyone who is not confident in removing and opening up the radio.

AFAIK, there are 3 press-fit RF connectors and the Sierra card slides into a card-edge connector. The following picture is a demonstration example: I've misfiled the actual Sierra card picture.

As a full disclosure, I have not completed this removal myself, but having an electronics and Telecom background, I wouldn't hesitate to complete this activity.
