I'm trying to figure out the value for this feature. From what I'm understanding, it's the only way to make the SOS buttons work?

I'm already paying $20/mo for the unlimited wifi (I have an 11yo and work on the road often), a silly amount per year for the XM radio subscription itself - and from what I can see there's an additional $12.99 through $24.98 for the various XM Guardian packages?

Without them, the SOS button does nothing, no remote app access to the vehicle features? Am I understanding that correctly?

Youll get lots of opinions on this.

Inhave the cheapest package that allows me to unlock/lock doors and start/stop from the app. You also get a feature that shows you the car on a map.

I only have it just in case i lock my keys in car. Never used it other than to tests the features the first day it was activated or to show friends/family hownit works

Yeah, I just went out and activated it - 1 year trial, so not a "today" problem
