I see the black housings on yours took a beating too. So did mine. I'm doing the 13+ OEM Projectors and man were they a pain in my ass to open.

They wouldn't fit in my oven so I had to open them by hand with a heat gun lol...

I eventually got them open and afterwards I used the heat gun to warm the housing edge's and mold them back into place so they look pretty much normal now. I was worried when I first got them open how bad I demolished the lips but thank God they formed back with a little heat and some plyers.

My lights are almost done, just waiting in my Klearz.com Smoked DRL Lenses and Smoked Clear Corners to arrive which I just got the tracking info and they will be here next Tuesday 8/8 so I should have the lights on my truck by next weekend at the latest. That is if my truck is even out of the shop by then... damn broken manifold bolts, my truck had been in the shop since Monday and still not done. Wtf?

Did you happen to chew up and bend the black part of your housing when you took yours apart? Or were you lucky and got them open with minimal damage?

I had to heat my "groove" back up, and bend it back into shape with pliers. The groove where the clear lense sits in. It was all wavey and bent out of place. It looks almost perfect and normal now that I heated it up and reshaped it, just curious if this happened to you too. Seems the OP had the same problem as me. To hell with small ovens and Permaseal!!

Lights are an area it's ok to go slow.
Yea it took 2 hours on each to open them but when your using a heat gun you have no choice but to work slow lol

Lol ya the newer ones are hard to open, i'm gonna bake em to reshape everything and remove the remainder of the permaseal. Havent even started the second one as im hoping to find an easier way. On the cherokees they cut off the outside lip of the black housing. Only way they come apart they say. Your look great btw
