Anyone have any idea why when in park or neutral and rev the engine why there is soo much lag in the response? It takes forever for the motor to catch up to speed... Anyone experience this? Will a programer or CAI help?

I know this whole drive by wire system does lag. I had this drive by wire system on my corvette but it wasnt near as slow. May just be the turning.

i think there is a "governor" per say that limits revs in neutral or park to protect the engine

Is there any way to clean it up a bit? The response time is absolutely horrible..

No offense by why does it matter when you are in park or neutral?

I get compliments on my exhaust every now and then when I go various places, mostly when in parking lots. I've had guys come up and talk to me about it and they've wanted to hear it revved up some, and the time it takes to rev up and slow back down to idle just kills how it sounds IMO

I'm sure a programmer would help, every vehicle I have ever had one in has increased throttle response.
