Smog Issue

Ram 2500 2016 4x4 Diesel, 16k miles. Complety stock. Having trouble getting my truck to pass. After many miles of driving I'm down to 10 of 12 sensors they say. Just keep driving. so far abot 300/400 miles. Mechanic says they have issues with new tricks too. Is there a trick?

Do a search on the website, should be a number of articles in problems. Also, check the eco diesel thread for potential similar problems.

Also, have you run and diagnostic tests for codes? If so share here.

You apparently need a lot of driving to set all the monitors. Looks like there are two that are the longest to set.

A Google search showed that some took 1000 miles before all the monitors were set.

Many recommend getting a scan tool to monitor the flags.

I have used drive cycle procedures for gas engines (not diesels) but here is some info I came across. Most say mixed driving but the first link has a procedure but doesn't really say it's for a 4th gen.
