I am entertaining the idea of swapping my power mirrors on my sport for some tow mirrors. All you Laramie and up guys - are the tow mirrors that come on those trucks power folding like mine?

If there is a power folding tow mirror I would like that function because I have the button, but was curious what came stock on the trims higher than sport.

I know Trail Ridge is an aftermarket brand online that have power folding with a very high price so I assume that reflects high quality. Anyone have experience with that brand?

Love the color matched mirrors, but love the look of folded down tow mirrors with the blind spot mirror - had the 4th gen mirrors on my 3rd gen. but would want to color match tow mirrors in the future.

Gimme some input. Truck.jpg

My son just got the Trail Ridge power fold mirrors. He hasn't installed them yet but opened them up and said they seem solid. He still has to get the support bracket kit for it. If you want OEM good luck finding them. They are back ordered until at least March and there are only about 6 dealers in the U.S. that has them. One dealer in Ohio only has the one mirror in the box and the dealer in Michigan that had them would not sell them. I called 6 dealers total and none could confirm they were power fold. Based on threads on here you can get OEM power fold if the truck came with them but if you buy them after the fact then you cannot get power fold. That doesn't make sense to me but was the consensus on here. So if you want power fold tow mirrors you either need to find OEM' take offs or go with the Trail Ridge. I plan to buy the Trail Ridge when I'm ready.

I have a spare set of chrome tow mirrors but sadly are not power folding and neither is the 2016 laramie I have power folding. If you would be interested in swapping I would love to.

I saw a video 1AAuto.com did on a comparison of the 2 and they looked a lot better than other cheaper options. Might have to just go with the quality down the road and post these up for sale. thanks for the info

Has anyone tried the mirrors made by Paragon? They look identical to the Trail Ridge but much less $$$

Son installed his Trail Ridge tow mirrors today. Look excellent but there was one slight issue that was an easy fix. The passenger side went on no issues. The drivers side the black plug had a plastic 'guide' molded into the plug that wasn't in the right place. The plug would not plug in. He trimmed a little of the plastic off to get it to go in and all was well. Nothing that would keep me from buying another set but something to be aware of.

And he installed the support brackets with them too. He bought those from AllMoparParts member here
