I've replaced both mirrors on my truck with JC Whitney OEM replacements from carparts.com. The driver's side works great, even folds in better than the original. For some reason the passenger side still won't fold in after having them send one, and then another one because that one wasn't working. I can hear the motor try to engage, but it just doesn't fold in. Since it is a (now 2nd) new mirror, I don't want to try folding it in by hand for fear of breaking something inside it and voiding the warranty.

Are there any other parts that might make it work? Again it's getting power, because all of the other functions are working, and I can hear it trying to engage. Just won't fold in. There is a power supply/control module on the inside of the door panel that the mirror plugs into, and I thought about replacing that next, but the mirror is getting power, so I can't see how that would do any good.

Any power fold mirror can be folded in by hand without fear of breaking something. You can even hand fold in a power fold mirrors then hit the button twice and it should unfold itself, done this many times.
