Squeaking noise - suspect I might have bad U-joints - can anyone confirm?

Hi everyone,

2007 Ram 3500 DRW with the 6.7. I'm getting a creaking/squeaking noise from the rear when I release the brake pedal after coming to a stop, and the same noise when I accelerate from a stop after releasing the brake pedal. It sounds almost like a squeaky metal hinge on a gate, if that makes any sense. Thought it was brakes at first, but the shop looked over the brakes and found nothing.

I've also noticed that the drivetrain seemed a bit 'sloppy' - if I blip the gas at low speeds the truck will shudder and kind of rock forward and back. I attributed this to big truck syndrome but the more I think about it the more I think it's the U joints.

Anyone have any other theories on what could be causing it?

Thanks in advance!

Caliper slides are sticking, pull the boots back n spray some lithium in there, or one or more could be warped but I'd put my money on the slides sticking. Gl.
