Start-X Remote Start Issue

Installed remote start on my 19 2500 push to start Ram. Every thing works fine until I get in truck and engine is already runnng and I tap break to put truck in drive and engine shuts off. I have to tap to start to restart engine. Remote start is a Start-X

Anyone know what could be wrong??

Not familiar with that particular remote start. But on my car with push button start. You push brake and start button than it switches over to be able to drive. I may be wrong on pushing break but I know you push start button.

I tried that also. With this particular remote starter when you get in the truck the run light is already lit up if truck has been remotely started.

When you remote start the truck, you still need to push the start button when you get in the truck (doesn’t matter if the run light is already lit, that’s normal). This is the case whether it is the factory remote start, or an aftermarket remote start. The only difference is, on the aftermarket remote start, pressing the brake pedal before pressing the start button will shut the engine off.

I heard back from start x and they actually say the opposite. Don’t touch button but tap brake.

I had the dealer install a factory remote start when I bought my truck new at the end of 2020. I have to push the button to get the truck to "wake up" from the remote start. Recently though it has started to act up. I have to push the button several times before it works. I'm searching to see if anyone else has had this problem. If you're saying its acting up, per what the manufacturer says, it sounds like a failing system.
