Wife had a Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid she bought new at the end of 23 ( a 24 model) . I have never been so unimpressed with a vehicle in my life. The Engine was so Noisy under acceleration. There were places under the hood on the frame that still showed Primer, no paint. Dealer said it was normal. It got fantastic MPGS, decent performance. It felt like a road wagon in terms of suspension refinement. BTW the Tundra engine also has Residual casting Debris issues if I recall. The difference being Toyota will actually Fix it proper.
Our 4xe (with the exception of the Electronic coolant heater replacement) has been a reliable vehicle. It's outstanding in the mountains with the added torque, the transmission doesn't need to downshift near as much. And the Fun of cruising on the beach sand on the outer banks with the top down and pure electric is nice. It can hit 60 in under 6 seconds in proper conditions. The only thing about this vehicle not to love is the "Potential Issues". Much like the Potential 6.4 Lifter issues, or the potential Diesel Turbo/Emissions issues (or that wonderful 68RFE) None of Which are cheap to fix beyond warranty. Fire Risk is there, Hopefully Software mitigates that by being the early warning system. Think ICE vehicles have been known to catch on fire a time or two as well. I do believe the HD rams were recalled in 22-23 for fire risk, transmission related, and again later like 300K were recalled because of fires related to the Grid heater relay. I guess Stellantis has always been a Hot seller LOL!
