Stock resonator

Has anyone removed the stock resonator right before the end of the tailpipe right after the axle? I hate for an exhaust tip to show and i want to cut my exhaust pipe off right at the rear axle but that resonator is there. Just seeing if anybody noticed a difference in sound. Btw i don't have the dual tips at the bumper.

I did on my dual factory setup...It didn't make it any louder, but defiantly made it throatier
