Suggestions on a muffler and resonator

Just bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 and it has straight pipe all the way back. In checking with the state it appears I need both a muffler and resonator?

I checked with local car parts shop and they want $190 for a Walker soundmaster muffler and $98 for a Walker resonator. Can anyone make any suggestions on perhaps a better deal / better quality before I pull the trigger on something.
Are most states wanting both a muffler and resonator?

I would check with a couple local exhaust shops and ask them how much for a standard exhaust setup that will pass inspection and go from there............
