Superchips questions for Hemi 5.7

I have been considering a Superchips tuner and would like to know the real life advantages of one. MPG's, performance etc...

I just don't want to spend $300 unless I know there will be some measurable difference in performance or economy or both.

I absolutely love mine! I just recently got their new Vivid too, so I have a 3865 for sale. (less than 300 too!!)

There is a NOTICEABLE difference with the tuner, allowing you to not only get better performance, but better MPGs (if you can keep out of it! LOL)

You will have the option to set a Mileage tune, 87 or 91 performance. Oh, towing too!

I'd say its one of my favorite mods.

I just got my tuner. Put it on 93otcane performance tune. Before i got about 350miles to the tank. After i put the tune in i got about 400+ miles to the tank and the performance is there. Trust me lol.

I love mine. It paid for itself already and I only had it for a year. Reprogrammed the speedometer for the bigger tires, reprogrammed for the 4.56 gears.

Haven't used the code reader part yet, but set mine for 93 as well.

Really good investment.

LOL. Going to have to wait till after Christmas to order. Just wanted to know how well they worked. I guess I wouldn't have expected that kind of mileage gains.

I just have the 3815. The truck ran stronger on the performance tune but that got a little expensive running on a daily driver lol When I ran the 87 tune I didn't see too much of a mileage gain, but i am also leveled on bigger tires so that does go against gaining mpg. I basically got my sc to disable the mds.

I have the 3815 as well and I'm very happy with it .I run on the 91 oct tune

I LOVE my 3865! I run premium in my truck, and the 91 tune. MPG's on mine are marginal at best, as it's a 4.7 and I run 38's. But, it's a show vehicle and doesn't move much.

The advance trans tuning is the best you can get, hands down!!! Combine that with the 91 tune with 93 in the tank with 8% TQ management and you are rockin'!!!!!!!!!

imo it is great for some performace gains, but don't expect much on better mpgs...........not because it isn't possible, but because the added performance it too fun to not get into it. Same thing happens with better sounding exhaust..........you get into it more to make that new exhaust sing LOL

For an 03 the Superchips is the best cause Diablo does not offer the rev limiter increase or Top Speed increase. Tried both and the SC is the one.

Back when these came out the 3714 gains where 20 Rear HP on the 03 vs approx 17 with the newer Trucks an later FlashPaq Model. Get the 3865 and you will be happy however be prepared to spend the extra for the 91 Octane Fuel.

For an 03, I would look for a used (but unlocked) 3815. You will be able to get it much cheaper than a 3865, and you will not be able to use any of the features that you gain with a 3865 over the 3815.
