Looking to get rid of this MDS bs. I've got an after market exhaust system and when she drops down to 4 cylinders the damn thing sounds like a helicopter. Not to mention it's always trying to drop down cylinders when taking off slow. Drives me nuts.
So, for the 08 hemi, I've been reading the superchips are all you need unless your doing other mods. Wheres the best place to get these for a good price, and what model should I be looking for? Trying to go cheap on this mod. Really would just like the mds off.

Go to superchips site and put in your vehicle to verify your fit. I think the F5 3845 model is now for just about every 3rd and 4th gen ram. 3842 might do the trick and you can probably get one used for $200 or under, but you really need to verify fit.

There are guys on here selling better tuners now and then for a better price as well.

There also may be cheaper ways to clear your MDS without this tuner. I thought I saw instructions for turning it off, but seemed you had to go through the routine at every start. Maybe someone will opine with a better option.

Autoanything seems to run the best deal most the time on superchips. $315 out the door after entering promo code. Here is the link to the 3845.

I got my superchips on ebay for $165. Buying on ebay is an easy place to get one, just verify it's unlocked, meaning no VIN is saved to it, before you buy. If the seller seems like there unsure whether it's unlocked or not, don't buy it.

If you buy a locked one, it'll cost you $100 from superchips to unlock it, if they will do it.

I believe 3865 is one of the most recent ones that you can get for a good price.

Edit: I did a quick ebay search. Looks like prices have gone up a bit on these. A little patience and the right timing, and you'll get one!
