There's a certain stretch of highway I use that you start with a 30mph roll and at a certain street sign you punch it and when you cross under a bridge that's a quarter mile. I can only test there a couple times before the police start patrolling so I only do it once and a while. In this stretch my truck used to peak at around 80mph in this stretch, I now let off at 90mph before this bridge because the HEMI is screaming at 6000rpm before the next shift and the HEMI screaming at 6000rpm gets me nervous...lol
This same stretch my tuned 3.6 Avenger hits 115mph and keeps climbing at this bridge point. My Avenger revs to 7000rpm with no problems and its smooth as can be. The Ram feels sketchy at 100mph especially with electric power steering unlike my Avenger with speed proportionate hydraulic power steering and much lower to the ground.
The stock bottem end will live all day long at 6600 rpm,and there's guys even spinning SBE 5.7's to 7000 rpm with no issues. My truck had over 700 nitrous fueled dragstrip passes on it and 50,000 miles of spirited driving on it,shifting at 6600 rpm,and the last thing i ever worried about was the engine. It still pumped 215 to 218 psi on all cylinders and hot idled at 51 psi with 5W-30 Redline and dual remote filters when i sold it . 6100 is roughly where the stock cam noses over, and i'd never worry about the engine at that rpm,the fan belt might give a chirp on the shifts, but that's about it ;)
Did Ryan up the idle rpm for you,if not get him to up it to 750 or a little more,as the cam gets it lube strictly from the oil flung off the crank.
If he upped the limiter on it,find a long deserted back road, and the truck will blow your mind on how fast it'll go :signs1:

Excellent! Our of curiosity to learn more of this, what was the process to 'unlock' the post '15 PCM? Or just send it to HP Tuners along with your VIN and a backup of my current PCM and they automagically take care of that part?

Thinking out loud (dangerous I know):
Or would I be responsible for taking a backup of my current PCM and preparing the "ebay-PCM"? (backup current PCM with Alpha, install ebay-PCM into truck and restore from Alpha? Or maybe HP Tuners provides a USB dongle to do this on a PC/laptop?

Looking forward to being enlightened on this process. Thank you in advance.
I didnt use HP. I got a super deal on a new Diablo Trinity from Holley. I actually backed up my OEM with the tuner. The deal was, buy the tuner, back everything up then send in the PCU. What I did was back everything up from the OEM, then swap PCM's and reload boneyard one with the tuner and AlfaOBD. I then changed the VIN and drove it around for a few days to be sure everything was good with it. Then swapped again and sent in the boneyard one.

Holley unlocked the ebay one and then reloaded it with the latest OEM programming, like the dealer does. Haven't had a problem with it in 3 years....
