Swapping tow mirriors for regular mirrors on my 2013 1500

Hi guy's I am new here and I have been searching the posts but I have not found an easy answer or end result about this.
I am in the Toronto area and I just bought a 2013 fully loaded Longhorn. I bought it sight unseen off the internet from a reputable dealer. It had everything I was looking for in a pickup, even the air ride option and it only had 12,000 miles on it. Looks new.
Wasn’t until I picked it up and started to get ready to drive it home that I noticed it had the chrome tow mirrors. No biggie I thought but the more I drove it I realized that they have to go, I never tow anything.
I found a couple of people that want them and will swap there’s for mine but then I started reading here and realized it may not be that easy.

Mine are chrome heated, power but not power folding, they do have the tilt down option when backup.
I would like to put on regular size chrome power folding if possible. I was offered a swap from a guy that has a 2015 with chrome power folding for mine.
I read somewhere this was doable but a dealer had to get involved to do programing but they said there were no dealers here in the Toronto area that had a clue what to do.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, this is my first Ram and other than the mirrors I am loving it.

Tons of threads about it on this forum and others; no black and white definitive answer though. I think another forum had a 14 page thread with this topic that's still ongoing. I'm on my phone and can't easily link it but a Google search should pull it up

Thanks, I found that thread first but 2 members were saying that the dealers in my area were clueless about how to program the mirrors and they were still trying and the thread stopped. I posted on that thread as well and sent a PM to the members. It appears that they have not posted in a long time.
