Recently wired light bar and spliced into running lights. Used vampire tabs to splice into them near headlight assembly. Put grease around it too to help keep moisture out. Should I go back and splice and heat shrink? I've heard mixed reviews.

Yes, those stupid t-tabs are a horrible way to connect wires. Butt connectors and heat shrink are the way to go especially when it's outside and can be exposed to water, dirt and if you're from the great white north, salt.

Yeah it's gonna drive me crazy now because I won't be home until the weekend to rewrite it. Sigh...

You'll be fine for a few days, not to mention the place where you would/could have a problem will be the place you're going to redo. Avoid the deepest of puddles.

Yeah it's just sitting at home so even if it rains I don't think it will get in there to bad. I'm lucky I have a company car :)).
