Tail light lens cracked

Have had got a message “rear turning signal out when breaking” This has been going on more or less since the truck was new. Very intermittent.

TodayI took the truck in to the dealer. They did find a crack in the lens. Dealer say I must have backed in to something. No signs of scratches etc. that indicate that….

Dealer wants 1045 USD for a new rear tail lamp assembly!

I know the light lenses on the top of the cab on my 2500 developed stress cracks in them all on their own. Cheap plastic failed in like 3 years.

I had my left rear light replaced by dealer under warranty. The rear lenses are noted for having cracks, at least in the "19" year. My LED rear lens assembly was $586.00 IIRC.
