Tailgate *almost* totally debadged with muted tails and Ram's head

I just got around to putting these two shots together... before and after on my tailgate. 4x4 emblem and dealer decal removed. Tail lights, 3rd Eye and Ram's head badge 'smoked' with VHT Niteshade to give them a subtle, not totally blacked-out look. Note how much it takes the edge off the white backup lights.

I like it.

Looks like VHT. Ebay does have smoked factory lights that aren't super dark.

Usually the Badges can be removed by using Fishing Line
If the metal is on the warm side, it comes off easier

Then use something like Goo Gone to get the adhesive off

All the badges were heated with a hair dryer and removed by hand. The fishing line thing just seemed like it was more work than it was worth.
