I installed a new tailgate lightbar awhile back, when I got it completely installed I noticed that as long as the right blinker/brake was connected neither the tail light/blinker, or the lightbar would work on the right side. I was hardwiring it in, tested all the wires in the harness, I had the correct wires, blinkers and brake on the right side work fine as long as the cable from the lightbar isn't connected.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

well, i forget the actual term for it, but i'd say check you blinker box/resistor thing. Getting a complete blank atm as to the actual name of it. But the regulator down there under the dash. Had a buddy doing some custom wiring and he ran into a similar issue. Could be worth bringing it to an auto parts store and talking to 'em to let them "lend" you one to see if it fixes the issue. My buddies would get overloaded whenever anything extra was put onto the circuit, but worked fine without the extras plugged in. Seems to be whats going on with you, i think the cause for him was just wear and tear and excessive off roading might of worked something loose inside it. Could be worth checking out.

Do you know where at it is under the dash? I'm no sure what you're talking about a blinker box/ resistor

Most likely talking about flasher relay which iirc is located in fuse box under dash on left side. There should be diagram on box.

So, after crawling under my truck, I felt like a *******. Turns out I had everything soldered to the left side because I tapped into the wire bundle after the left and right sides split. Ran the right side wire to the right side, soldered it, ran running lights, ground, and left brake/blinker to the left side, everything works perfectly now. :)
