I have a 2012 Express RC that only came with one plug dangling under the dash. I was hoping to install the Mopar TBC in the dash, but have been told conflicting info. Some have said the Mopar TBC will work with only the one plug, as the other plug communicates with the EVIC (Which I don't have anyways.). Others have said that the Mopar TBC won't work unless both plugs are present. I have also looked at the Tekonsha P3 and like the features, but the trade-off is that it can't be mounted in-dash. Your thoughts? Thanks!

I cant help you on the wiring of your truck as my 2009 ram came fully wired and all I needed was the correct pigtail to plug and play. I just replace my teconsha brake controller. I was not happy with the unit over the years as I had to constantly adjust to different trailers and road conditions. I went with the Hayes endeavor. What a sweet controller with no constant adjustment and digital readout and electronic adjustments when needed. AND its American made. Really good pricing on Amazon. Hope this helps.

I put the mopar break controller in my 2012 express. You have both connectors, you just gotta dig.
