The / My 2500 and my new 3500 both have that faux louvered hood..Dont know if the 1/2 tons have it or not Always kinda liked, sometimes thought of highlighting it or something.
Anywho, I was watching season 5 of chips from 1980 last night (yes i still Love CHiPS!, Takes me back to my childhood in the 70s and early 80s!) Anyway the episode had an early model dodge 200 truck with a camper on it and he was getting rammed off the road by a guy in an old new yorker on a dirt backroad and low and behold, on a closeup, that old dodge 200 truck (early 70s maybe? Not up on the looks of those like I am with chevy so dont know the year) had the louvers right on the hood in almost the same place as our new trucks, although the ones on the Dodge looked real. Thought it was kinda cool!
