Speculation I have read at a couple of places puts it into the $100-$150 range.

Major downside is that it locks you into one brand of oil. I do not see this becoming widespread anytime soon.

IF car companies start using this type of technology, I bet oil companies would release there own pods or whatever.

Hell I would be happy with 6qt jugs since most cars take that much now.
