So I spray under the truck a few times a year with old oil and diesel fuel to reduce rust on the truck and was wondering what you guys spray under your doors to prevent them from rusting. There is that rubber gasket that always let's salt hangout underneath it . I was thinking some kind of can spray like wd40 or somthn any ideas are appreciated

Fluid film small spray can, can get at Lowes and maybe NAPA.

Remove that weatherstrip altogether (it pops out easily), shoot towards the center of the door through that drain hole and the holes for the weatherstrip push clips.

Some will creep out eventually and coat under the weatherstrip by itself.

Basically it's all regular maintenance for me. Just rinse/flush all nooks and crannies when you wash. I do the jambs and hit them with the chamois as part of the regular wash. If it snows or there is salt on the roads I make sure to at least give the underside a good rinse, even if I can't do a proper wash.

The other thing is the quarters and the lower fenders. Supposedly they addressed the quarter panel issue but I aint taking no chances so I make sure to flush out up there when I do a wash. Same thing with the lower fender corners. Just shoot the hose right in there and flush it out.

I've been doing this on my last few new vehicles and have had zero rust issues. You can eat off the underside I keep them so clean.
