So over a month ago I was sitting in my 2017 1500 5.7 hemi Bighorn late one night or early one morning smoking a cigarette. Something I don't do in the house. Normally don't sit in driveway to do it either in truck but it gets hot in L.A. Lower Alabama so come daylight I was woke up key on truck not running. I thought I am a idiot. I must have fell asleep and ran out of gas in my driveway. Yes dumb I know. I put a 2gal and 5gal gas can in another vehicle to get gas. Once put in my truck 7gals or there about I noticed it registered about 1/2 tank. 26 gal tank 7gals is not 1/2 I am pretty sure. Short story long I had to charge battery and did. The truck tried cranking but no start. I do and have had Trinity platinum 2 EX for a while. And I have other scanners as well. No start ever and now no crank from turning ignition. I have since purchased Alphaobd and tried reading codes as I figured it was more expensive than my cheap scanners. I was getting service transmission, the rotary shifter did have PRND all lit up in yellow and that was on dash instrument cluster in all yellow too. I have since installed new battery. Cleaned all the negative cables I could find. And now the cluster doesn't show the PRND at all but I keep getting no communication with TCM and alot of the Modules are saying if I enter vin failure outside of parameter. Any one that has ever seen this or like this any help greatly appreciated. If I hook Trinity to truck it says last attempt at programming failed which is weird it was programmed before this happened??

When you see a numerous amount of warning lights and your scanner picks up several DTCs it is usually related to a low-voltage event. Lost communication DTCs are common and will go away once the module is heard. If one persists, there should be additional DTCs related to the same module.

Thank you both yes I have cleaned all of the ground/negative connections I have found going to the body, frame, and the block. Also have installed new battery. And kept a charger on the new battery as truck hasn't started in over a month. I have touched every wire in this truck more than once. Now as of today Alphaobd will talk to every module except PCM? When I try to hook my tuner up Trinity Platinum 2Ex that has been hooked up for a few years and I have run the highest tune which calls for 93 octane not relevant in this situation I know just giving details. It goes straight to saying the last time it tried tuning it was interrupted. Which is not true. Does this sound like a tuner caused problem or something else?

Try reloading that tune , or returning to the factory tune. if that doesn’t work I would lean on the pcm possibly going bad.

Maybe a longshot, but check the big BCM connector in the driver side kickwell, above where your left foot would be resting.

I was sitting in the grocery store parking lot one time, waiting for the wife, out of boredom half asleep and fidgeting around, the bootlace from my left Danner Acadia snagged the cam lever on the big BCM connector and pulled it loose.

Not all the way loose, but just pulled it about halfway open. My truck lost it's **** the same way your describing.

Hey yes sir Mr. Ken 226 thanks for the advice and I apologize for not responding sooner but I did make a little progress late in the week and happened to bump a wire going into connector1 on the pcm while laying in the engine compartment upside down touching some other connectors for the 4hunderethand7011thandhalf time. The bumping of said wire woke the electronicly operated fuel injection system and of course I wasn't expecting that or the loud almost roaring loudly ringing sound. RRRRRRRRRRRRR! My first reaction was to...I'm not sure if it's called jump when you're upside down in the engine compartment balancing on your head while checking electric connectors and your legs are above you hanging over the fender kinda outside the vehicle??? But I did laugh at the sight of my self in my minds eye shortly after i made sure no one else was watching to see my upside down NASA Space shuttle like launch from my very own Cape Canaveral engine compartment in my front yard. I still have yet to figureut how I all 270 lbs went at that angle without using my hands or feet from upside down in a engine compartment to hovering in a standing upright motion and thinking wow I wonder if my pick ups roof is that dirty.???? That person should clean that. And I did after a landed face plant into that roof. And got blood on the paint and I don't think blood goes good with white. But it turns out my checking securenesss of wire connector skills aren't even S.S. Minnow deckhand wortthy.. But after more investigative work it's seems a blue with orange trace wire in spot 88 on C1 connector had the terminal barely making connection. And those terminals are so small....the closest place to L.A. (Lower Alabama);Sweet Home I could find them was a little store Digikey in Thief River Falls, Minnesota $9,for 20...and they were ordered late Thursday night I received today. Maybe $25 total for shipping and all. I knew I didn't need 20..but I at time of ordering didfree e e èn't know how many and wanted some extra. Turns out I needed 3. 2 to tear up figuring out the best way to get them tiny little sucker's on a wire and in the connector C1. And only one to.make magic happen. We now.are cranking no start but that is better than last month and a half nothing....
