Had filled up with watered down gas last year. Dropped tank, dried out tank, cleared all codes, and still in limp mode with "Service Electronic Control" problem. I have tried most of the tips with no luck. Any help is appreciated before I take it to dealer. 2017 1500 bighorn 4x4 5.7l hemi

Not knowing which "tips" you've already tried, you'll probably have some of them suggested again.

Have you done a Electronic Throttle Relearn? You'll need a bidirectional scan tool, or something like AlfaOBD, JScan, etc.

How about pull the battery terminals and let the car sit for about half an hour, then reconnect them?

If that doesn't work, then you'll need some electrical diagnostic know-how, a multimeter and a scan tool to monitor live data, or drop it off at a shop who does.

Yes I have tried doing that. I will try it again

The throttle relearn, if this isn't something you've already tried:

Your scan tool should have an throttle follow test. With AlfaOBD it'll look like this. This will actuate the throttle butterfly in coordination with the accelerator pedal:

If after the above mentioned operations, you still have the Service ETC message and are still in limp mode, you can disconnect each end of the harness and check continuity across each wire to verify their integrity.

It's not a complicated circuit to test. One end of the harness is at the throttle body and the other end @ the PCM. The appropriate connectors/pins are mentioned in the service manual. My book is for a 2013, if you need a diagram specific to your truck, AllData DIY is an option.

If the wiring ****** good, then you've narrowed it down to a bad throttle body or a bad PCM. The throttle body is alot cheaper, so id probably replace that one first.

So far none of that is working. At the end of the month I am purchasing a new scan tool and map sensor. If that does not work I am putting it in the shop

Was anything else done, other than dropping the tank? Anything with injectors or fuel rail? Could the throttle body have been disturbed?

The OP's replies have been rather vague.

I wouldn't be putzzing with anything until a scanner is put on it and codes read. Wasting time and money until that is done. A super cheap OBDII dongle can be had for under $15 at amazon if you only want to read and reset trouble codes. That's all the cheapos will do, though, NO reliable testing.

You can easily check your injectors at home, just to rule them out.
There's a video in the first post to go with the thread.
