So obviously there are a lot of threads that have information on many different trannys for may different Ram truck configurations. But when trying to post the image I was shown at a transmission shop today that kind of shines a light on just how crazy convoluted trying to diagnose a transmission issue can be I found it impossible to post it where anyone looking to solve a transmission issue could easily find it.
In the sub forums for instance you have many different iterations / different years of Dodge trucks which when you click have sub threads that cover Lowering , raising your truck and engines and performance...but nothing for transmissions. Yes if you search transmissions and even your mode, l you can find a myriad of post but not all specific to your year or era.
Just think each subforum e.g. generation 3 should have a transmission sub category
Here's the image I wanted to share which shows how many things far beyond the actual transmission itself that can cause a transmission to go wonky and shift bad or not work at all.
Kind of crazy as I called and visited several transmission shops today...Some saying the same things, some totally contradicting the others. Not sure who to believe but the last shop explained that it is likely my transmission is fine and it is a sensor on my engine making my tranny shift hard...He ran a computer diagnostic, said with my low miles it is highly unlikely it is the transmission. He referred me to a mechanic to get the sensor replaced....
